Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Tipple Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202646063K), a company registered in Singapore ("Tipple", "we", "us"). They apply to the Tipple app and to tipple.sg. By creating an account you agree to them. Please read them with our privacy policy, which explains what we do with your information.

1. Who can use Tipple

  • You must be 18 or over. Tipple is about bars and drinks, and we ask for your date of birth when you sign up so we can check this.
  • One account per person. Give us accurate details and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Tipple is for personal use in Singapore. You may not use it on behalf of a business, or to collect information about other members or venues.

2. Membership

  • Joining Tipple is free. We do not charge members.
  • Tipple+ is a higher membership status. It cannot be bought: it is earned by claiming offers at a number of different venues within a period of time, as described in the app. The current rule is 10 different venues within 90 days.
  • Once earned, Tipple+ does not expire. We may change how it is earned, what it includes, or the offers available, and will show the current rules in the app. We may remove it from an account that earned it by misusing Tipple.

3. Offers and claims

  • Offers are made by the venues, not by Tipple. Each venue decides what it offers, and when, and the details shown in the app are the venue's terms for that offer.
  • You claim an offer in person, at the venue, using the venue's code. Each offer can be claimed once in each period shown with it. Offers have no cash value, cannot be exchanged, transferred or combined with other offers unless the venue says so, and may run out or change without notice.
  • A venue may refuse to serve you, including to follow the law on the responsible sale of alcohol, to check your age, or because it is full. A claim does not reserve a table or guarantee service.
  • Only claim an offer when you are at the venue and using it. Sharing codes, claiming for someone else, or claiming without visiting is misuse.

4. Venues

Venues are independent businesses. They are responsible for their premises, their drinks and food, their prices and their service, and for honouring their offers. Any complaint about a venue's service is between you and the venue, though we would like to hear about it at support@tipple.sg. We try to keep venue details, opening hours, prices and offers accurate, but they can change, and we cannot promise they are always up to date.

5. Drink responsibly

Tipple helps you find good bars. It is not encouragement to drink more than is safe. Do not drink and drive, follow the law, and look after the people you are out with.

6. Things you must not do

  • Misuse offers or codes, or try to get around the limits on claims.
  • Submit false reports, such as prices or happy hours you know to be wrong.
  • Copy, scrape or resell Tipple's content or data, or use automated means to access the app or website.
  • Interfere with Tipple's security, or access accounts or data that are not yours.
  • Use Tipple for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone.

7. Your content

Your private notes on venues are yours, and only you can see them. Reports you send us, such as a pint price or a happy hour, may be used to keep venue information accurate for everyone. You give us permission to use them for that.

8. Suspending or closing accounts

You can delete your account at any time in the app, from Profile. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, misuses offers, or puts other members or venues at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why.

9. Our responsibility to you

We provide Tipple as it is and as available. We do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the acts of venues, or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, and our total responsibility to you is limited to S$100. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law does not allow to be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Tipple after that, the new terms apply.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
